Tempo Gin Digital Content

As a client of the design firm me&ideas, Tempo Gin relied on us to both create a social media content calendar and then execute that content to bolster their social media presence. There were a few rules to follow, the most important being that alcohol could not be actually consumed or have glasses that are less than full that look like they’ve been consumed, due to government regulations. Typically I would be given a theme or concept along with copy (if it needed some) and have a lot of creative freedom beyond that.

I have selected some examples of social media posts that represent a wide range of styles and asks for Tempo Gin. A lot of the time, as there was no time or budget to shoot every piece of content, these posts would be composites of stock images and brand-standard can or box renders. Other times, the ask would be to update a shot from an old can design to the current can design or to create informational content or memes.

I also wanted to share some process on compositing these graphics from start to finish, so I’ve turned 2 into GIFs that go through the steps of how I got from start to finish. One of these is a can design update, where I blank out the can to preserve lighting and then overlay the current can on top. The other one is a stock image that needs to have the can render edited into it. Matching lighting and focal point/blur is key to blend the cans/boxes into the scene.
